Security Application Damper Actuators launched

Slaney Direct offers the new NemoteQ 8Nm spring return damper actuator NAFA...08(S) Nm Series designed specifically for applications in the HVAC market, or light Industrial market and telecommunication module.

The high quality spring return damper actuators have been designed for use with air damper, butterfly valve, characterized ball valve and globe valve with the use of special adapters.

For air control dampers up to approx. 1.5 m2 features include:

* Torque 8 Nm
* Nominal voltage AC/DC 24 V / AC 230 V
* Control 2 Point On/Off
* Universal adapter for easy direct mounting
* Shaft dimension Ø 8...21 mm /6...15 mm _ square
* 40 mm minimum shaft length
* Anti-rotation bracket provided for stability
* Manual over ride by crank handle when required
* Adjustable angle of rotation, mechanical end stops
* 1 adjustable SPDT auxiliary switches when requested
* Actuators available with 1m cable connection

The spring return actuator NAFA...8Nm with On/Off Control is now available. The launch of the respective modulating actuator is scheduled for 2007.

Characterised Ball Valves now available

NemoteQ's NVCB Series of electrically automated characterised ball valves designed specifically for the HVAC market are now available.

The high quality automated ball valves combine the performance of globe valves with the economy of
ball valves providing the best of both worlds. The NVCB Series ball valves are equipped with a patented characterized insert in the ball. This characterised ball design provides very high rangeability and excellent equal percentage flow characteristics.

The NVCB Series valves are ideal for all automatic temperature control applications using hot water, or chilled water. They can be equipped with a variety of economical electric actuators. Choices include on/off, 3 point and 0(2)...10VDC proportional control in non-spring return 24VAC/DC, 230 VAC. Spring return actuators on request. The NEMOTEQ electric actuators feature simplified mounting of the actuator to a direct coupled bracket. The result is a very low profile unit with flexibility of use as well
as fast and easy maintenance.

All actuators include a manual override lever for manually positioning the valve when the actuator is not powered. Patented insert characterises flow for an equal percentage flow characteristic.

The Characterised Insert establishes a flow coefficient (Kvs) similar to globe valves, eliminating the need for pipe size correction tables when sizing valves. They provide superior rangeability and equal percentage flow characteristic.

The low torque facilitates the use of smaller, less expensive actuators that extends valve and actuator service life. The 3-way Ball Valve has a "T piece" design that simplifies 3-way piping allowing for 3-way Ball Valves to retrofit globe valves.

Control Valve range EVG..

The NemoteQ EVG56.. Series contains external screwed valves made from red brass in PN16 as 2-way and 3-way valves with sizes DN 15 up to DN40. Additionally 4-way valves in sizes DN15and DN20 are available. Ideally suited for Fan Coil Unit and Zone applications. Features include:

* Equal percentage flow characteristic
* Exchangeable valve insert for easy adapt to different kvs requirements (up to 4 kvs)
* Small compact design
* Screwed knob for manual operation

The actuators for these valves is the series EAV51... which are available with 3-point control in 230VAC or 24VAC and with modulating control (0... 10V) in 24VAC. The actuating time can be selected between 121s or 33s. Features include:

* Thrust 400 N
* Nominal Stroke 5,5 mm
* Tri-state or 0...10VDC control signal
* The stroke is adapted automatically to the valve
* Direct assembly with a union nut, no tools required
* Manual operation by using a 5 mm hexagonal key
* Position and running direction indication
