Knight Real Estate - Industrial Development - East Kilbride, Knight Real Estate To Embark On New Central Belt Project
Date: 28 Jun 2007
Commercial property developer Knight Real Estate is about to embark on an extensive new industrial development in East Kilbride.
The Langlands Point project will see the speculative development of a number of industrial/warehouse units on the eight-acre site. It will also have scope for bespoke buildings.
The scheme, in a prominent location within the established Kelvin South and Langlands industrial areas to the south of the town centre, will enjoy excellent links via both the local road and main motorway network.
Director of Aberdeen-based Knight Real Estate, Howard Crawshaw, said: "The mix of speculative and bespoke opportunities means the development will possess the flexibility to meet a diverse range of requirements, augmented by the fact the buildings will be available on a lease or purchase basis.
"This represents another exciting venture for Knight Real Estate in the Central Belt, and underlines our commitment to remain an established player in a national context."
Joint marketing agents for the development are Colliers CRE and King Sturge.
Cass Hibbert of King Sturge said: "We believe the development will address a serious gap in both the wider market and also for existing East Kilbride occupiers, by providing new units or bespoke opportunities, as it is apparent there is a lack of similar product in the current market. This, coupled with the fact the units will be available to both purchase or lease, should appeal to a broad range of occupiers."
