St. Paul's Developments - Industrial Sale - Rotherham, Next's State Of The Art Distribution Facility At Brookfields Park Completed In Record Time

St Paul's Developments' award winning Brookfields Park scooped 'Deal of the Year' at the Property Awards in 2006 when major retailer Next signed up to occupy a massive 1.1 Million sq ft of space on 50 acres of the 85 acre distribution site.

In an incredibly rapid completion, since construction on the sophisticated distribution hub commenced developers St Paul's has announced that the twin giant warehouses have been finished in an amazing 47 weeks. Next started the installation of their state of the art material handling equipment after only 30 weeks from the start of the project. This is the shortest time that a project of this magnitude has ever been completed in the region. Next is expected to commence operations to service its stores and mail order operation in early 2008.

David Elliott, Director at St Paul's has overseen the production of this bespoke industrial space and has provided some facts about this much anticipated structure.

* 2 Buildings operating in tandem, each 20M clear height
* The buildings will occupy a single self-contained site extending to 50 acres.
* The distribution facility has taken only 47 weeks to complete and has been completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
* The total space comprised in the building will extend to in excess of 1.8M sq ft upon installation of the secondary mezzanine floors equivalent to 30 full size football pitches
* The buildings can accommodate 110,000 pallets
* 29 jumbo jets or 30 million tins of beans can fit inside the warehouses.
