Fasset - Offices Development - London, Newly Created Business

Date: 01 Oct 2007

More than 30 commercial property agents were invited to the breakfast launch of a newly-created business park near London.

They were guests of business and property solutions specialist Fasset, which is breathing new life into the 10-acre site belonging to multi-national occupant Air Products.

The firm is making surplus space pay its way at the European head quarters of the industrial gases group by attracting in businesses from the outside.
Fasset has rebranded the site at Hersham, near Woking, as Hersham Place Technology Park, with the first of three phases completed.

Called the Sterling Suite, nine furnished offices with 47 workstations have been installed over 3,500 sq ft. Two IT-related firms, employing nine full-time staff, have already moved in.

The next two stages will see Fasset's remaining 41,500 sq ft refurbished to the requirements of future, larger tenants.

Chris Allington, the managing director of Fasset, said: "The commercial property agents here today are important part of spreading the message to knowledge-based businesses keen to have flexible modern offices that meet ever-changing needs."

He added: "Floor space is the single biggest property cost driver for business, so the flexibility we enshrine is all-important."

Fasset was awarded the contract to manage the buildings of Air Products, where 800 employees continue to work, in April. The site has around 170,000 sq ft of offices and ancillary space, including a restaurant and fitness centre.
