Goadsby - Industrial Development - Sandleheath, Planning Permission For Commercial Development At Sandleheath Industrial Estate
Date: 04 Oct 2007
Acting on behalf of Read & Bailey, Goadsby Town Planning have successfully obtained outline planning permission for the commercial development of land north-east of Old Brickyard Road, Sandleheath Industrial Estate for light and general industry and warehousing.
Peter Atfield, Director of Goadsby Town Planning states that:
"This outline planning permission has been obtained following a long period of negotiation with New Forest District Council. The proposals needed to overcome objections on highway and environmental grounds. The planning permission will now allow the industrial estate development to be completed, creating much needed local job opportunities.
The permission amends access arrangements and allows for a more flexible development of this part of Sandleheath Industrial Estate reducing the potential length of the estate access road and the amount of vehicles using the western arm of Old Brickyard Road.
The proposal was drawn up in conjunction with highway consultants and consultation with the Hampshire County Highway Authority on road safety issues.
