Ashville Group - Industrial Development - Calne, Latest Acquisition For Ashville

As part of an ongoing consolidation programme, Deceuninck has sold a 1.7 acre site on Stanier Road in Calne to property development company, the Ashville Group.

Located near the entrance of the established Porte Marsh Industrial Estate, Plot C is adjacent to Deceuninck's new headquarters building and Ashville is currently in the process of masterplanning the site with the intention of submitting plans by the end of the year. Subject to consent, work is then likely to commence in the Summer 2008.

According to Gareth Edwards, development surveyor at Ashville, the demand for small unit industrial schemes in this area, in which Ashville specialises, is expected to be strong. He said:

"There is a limited supply of this type of property within the Calne area, which has resulted in a high level of demand. With a number of local occupiers seeking to purchase their own unit, we will be able to supply exactly what the market needs and at the same time boost the town's supply."

Ashville is currently welcoming design and build enquiries for Plot C whilst the best options for the site are considered and Alder King property consultants will be acting as sole agents.
