Rok Development - Industrial Development - Eastbourne, Highfields Office Park, Edwards Road
Date: 06 Nov 2007
It is celebration time again for Rok Development after it sealed another deal at its £2.6 million office and industrial development in Eastbourne.
The 68,000 sq ft Highfields Office Park at Edwards Road has gone from strength-to strength since it welcomed its first occupant in September 2006 - its sister company Rok Building.
Rok Development's latest achievement has seen the successful letting of a 6,818 sq ft of prime office unit to HSBC.
Highfields Office Park comprises six office units totalling 23,000 sq ft and a further 28,000 sq ft of industrial space, the whole of which has been sold to a local investor.
Tim Mash of HSBC said: "We wanted to find a new office which offered a flexible open plan environment situated close to road links for easy access to the south coast and beyond. The Highfields Office Park certainly ticks all the right boxes for us.
"I was really impressed with the Rok Development team who not only managed the transaction efficiently and professionally but carried out several updgrades to the basic unit specification to fit with our needs."
Highfields Office Park is situated in an established office and light industrial area just north of Eastbourne town centre. It is adjacent to the new A22 Polegate bypass with direct links to the A27 east-west route. The nearest railway station is just half a mile west of the development.
Nick Callaghan for Rok Development said: "This development has proved extremely popular and we have successfully secured various sales, lettings and investment deals over the past few months.
"The scheme has clearly demonstrated the need for new accommodation to suit the changing needs of local businesses and I am confident we will see further interest in the coming months."
Rok Development is also involved in a host of other projects including Hargreaves Business Park which is adjacent to Highfields Office Park. The development will have a further 17,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation available with extensive yard space and car parking and the units can be built to specific requirements.
