Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) - Industrial Sale - Cheadle, Cheadle Bleachworks on Mill Lane

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has reported two major sales of former industrial works to residential developers.

In the first deal, representing Parkgate Properties, LSH has sold Cheadle Bleachworks on Mill Lane, Cheadle to JCS Homes.

The £2.75 million sale follows over five years of negotiations with Stockport LPA to re-develop this brownfield site, which is located in the heart of the Green Belt, two minutes from Cheadle town centre and only five minutes from Didsbury. The two acre site, which lies alongside The Alexandra Hospital, will provide high quality accommodation in a bespoke development of town houses and apartments surrounded on three sides by Green Belt land and water.

In the second deal, representing the vendor, a towel manufacturer, LSH has reported the sale of the former Chortex Ltd Works on Bury New Road in Bolton to Jones Homes. The eight acre site has been sold for over £7 million for the development of a mixed tenure of residential properties. The former owner has relocated within the borough.
