Rok has now completed the main building work at its £7 million office and residential development in Portsmouth.
The former Co-op Dairy site at Cumberland Road is now home to Rok's prestigious five-storey development. With the building work now complete the Rok maintenance team is set to take the reigns and start the internal fit-out.
The prestigious 8,750 sq ft scheme demonstrates the company's joined-up approach to business - with the project being conceived by Rok Development based in Southampton and delivered by the Rok building and maintenance teams based in Fareham.
The development comprises 64 high-quality two-bedroom apartments including 20 for shared ownership and seven self-contained office units on the ground floor ranging from 1,200 sq ft to 1,400 sq ft.
John Joel, contract manager for Rok, said: "We are delighted with the swift progress of this development and it is a pleasure to be working in partnership with Drum Housing Association. Rok has worked hard to develop affordable housing as a specialist market and we have become a partner of choice for many housing associations."
The site is ideally located next to the popular Cumberland Business Centre. It is also close to Fratton railway station and Portsmouth City Centre with easy road links to the M27.
Nick Callaghan, of Rok Development, said the company was already busy securing occupiers for the impressive office units all of which are being offered for sale or to let.
"We are experiencing a strong level of occupier enquiries and we have already secured a deal with Drum Housing Association. I am confident the interest will continue over the coming months. There is currently a limited number of new office developments in the Portsmouth area so I am delighted Rok is able to meet the demand for this type of development."
The Cumberland Road development will be completed in early spring 2008.
