Rok - General Development - Nursling, Oriana Way

Date: 12 Dec 2007

It's flashing lights and sirens for Fareham builder Rok as it celebrates the start of its latest project on behalf of South Central Ambulance NHS Trust.

The cost of this refurbishment project at Oriana Way in Nursling is over three quarters of a million pounds and will provide an operational base for the emergency service provider.

The work will include the transformation of existing industrial units into brand new offices, ample storage space and a vehicle maintenance area.

Emmie Pritchett-Brown, for Rok, said: "We are delighted to be involved with this project and to help provide much needed facilities for this crucial service.

"The project will take approximately 20 weeks to complete and we should start to see it taking shape very quickly. Rok is renowned for working with many local businesses and service providers and is focused on becoming an integral part of the community in which it works. This project reflects our commitment to achieving just that."

Rob Ellery, interim head of operational planning for South Central Ambulance Services, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Rok and I am extremely confident that they will do a fantastic job for us.

"Once the project is completed in early 2008, we will have a whole host of new facilities in place including training suites, offices, storage space and a fully-equipped maintenance area for vehicle repair and servicing.

"It has been a pleasure working with the Rok team so far and I am looking forward to seeing the project unfold over the coming months."

Rok has been involved in a variety of other projects recently including the £1.4 million development of 14 flats at Hollman Drive in Romsey on behalf of Testway Housing, the £650,000 renovation of wards at Salisbury Hospital to provide new offices and laboratories and the completion of new care home facilities in Romsey for Abbeyfield Wessex Society.
