AMEC plc - Appointment - London, United Kingdom

AMEC plc, the international engineering and project management company, announces that François-Philippe Champagne joined as Strategic Development Director on 2 January 2008. He has also been appointed to the Management Committee.

He is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, strategy and supply chain management and is based in London.

Mr Champagne (37), born in Quebec, Canada, joins AMEC from ABB Ltd in Switzerland, where most recently he was group vice president and senior counsel. Before joining ABB in 1999 he was senior attorney for Elsag Bailey Process Automation, Group Operations Europe and Asia.

Mr Champagne gained a Bachelor of Laws degree at Montreal University followed by Master of Laws degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA.
He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1994.
