Hyder Consulting - Appointment - Global

Hyder Consulting has promoted Nigel Hayward to a new role of Global Head of Project Management to focus particularly on the firm's increasing portfolio of major projects.

In his new role Nigel will be responsible for the introduction and adoption of best practice in the management of Hyder Consulting's major international projects. Nigel will also be responsible for the training and development of Hyder Consulting's project managers.

Nigel has most recently been Hyder's Area Director in Dubai, and will continue to be based there in recognition of the scale of many Middle Eastern projects. As well as the Burj Dubai Tower and development, Hyder is also involved with schemes such as Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, Lusail and Education City in Qatar and Al Areen in Bahrain. Nigel himself has worked on many significant projects from the Mount Pleasant Airport in the Falkland Islands to Taiwan High Speed Rail and also has an MSc in Project Management.

Regional Operations Director, Mario Pishiri, is taking over as Dubai Area Director, whilst Ian Mercer will become Middle East Regional Director for Sales and Marketing.
