Salmon Harvester Properties (SHP) - Mixed-Use Development - Brentwood, Essex

Date: 11 Jan 2008

Salmon Harvester Properties (SHP) has sold Warley Fields, its development site on the outskirts of Brentwood in Essex, to concrete formwork and scaffolding firm PERI Ltd.

The German-based company purchased the 16 acre (4.4 hectare) plot, which currently houses a single-storey warehouse building and large yard. PERI intend to use the site, which includes planning consent for 128,597 sq ft (11,947 sq m) of offices, for their own business operation.

Doug Stewart of SHP comments: "PERI's purchase of Warley Fields underlines the excellent transport links enjoyed by the site and the demand for high-quality office and distribution facilities in the area.

Warley Fields is located 0.5 miles from junction 29 of the M25, and was previously the home of pallet firm Chep. SHP purchased the site in 1999.

SHP is currently involved in a wide range of projects throughout the UK, including The Brewery, a 200,000 sq ft (18,580 sq m) retail and leisure scheme in Cheltenham and King's Court, a 33,217 sq ft (3,086 sq m) industrial estate in central Cambridge.

DTZ and Kemsley Whiteley & Ferris advised SHP, while PERI was represented by CBRE.
