Lambert Smith Hampton - Industrial Letting - Nottingham, Little Oak Business Park
Date: 18 Jan 2008
Lambert Smith Hampton's (LSH) Nottingham office has secured the sub let of a modern warehouse on Sherwood Park to facilitate the expansion of a local business.
LSH relocated Babcock Networks to Newton 46 to allow for the company's expansion and was retained to dispose of its 12 year lease on the company's former premises at Unit 5B, Little Oak Drive following the relocation.
LSH has now successfully negotiated a deal for the remainder of the lease to Standard Motor Products Europe, which is relocating from nearby Hucknall.
Sean Bremner, from LSH's Nottingham office, says: "This is a high quality large warehouse offering modern features and unrivalled access to the M1. The Sherwood Park site also offers some quality neighbouring businesses including Boots, Rolls Royce and Innovate Logistics.
"My client, Babcock Networks, has already relocated and expanded within its new base on Newton 46 and it's great that this second deal also fosters the growth of another local business. I am sure Standard Motor Products will be successful from this high profile location."
The two storey warehouse offers a total of 35,519sq ft including 4,764 sq ft of office space, a 30,755 ground floor warehouse and features a 30m loading area.
Suky Chahal of Standard Motor Products says: "Relocating to Sherwood park provides us with an excellent location and a prestigious platform for our European headquarters from which to expand our business."
Rodney Ackland of Babcock International Group adds: "Due to operational issues this facility was surplus to requirements and we are delighted LSH has successfully assisted in securing a long term sub-lease to SMP".
