KW Linfoot Plc - Appointment - Leeds

Date: 30 Jan 2008

Following major business successes and significant plans for growth of its development portfolio KW Linfoot Plc has announced a restructure of its management team and made some further senior appointments.

The award winning city living developer has formally appointed Richard Dean from Development Director to become joint Managing Director working alongside Michael Luscombe. David Waddington and Ged Feeley have also been promoted to the board of directors as Sales and Marketing Director and Commercial Director respectively. They join existing board members Mike Forth as Technical Director, Chris Hildreth as Construction Director and Kevin Linfoot as Chairman.

Joining the business is Richard Bland as the new Finance Director and Ged Simmonds as Development Director.

Richard Bland joins from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was Senior Director and Head of Property Banking for the North. For nine years he was responsible for a team of 28 people involved in funding significant property development from Peterborough up to the Scottish Boarders. In his new role at K W Linfoot Plc Richard will supervise a team of five to manage negotiations and fund strategies for the numerous developments underway and being planned.

As Development Director taking over from Richard Dean, Ged Simmonds will control the initial stages of each new development including land acquisition, development appraisal as well as working within the design and construction teams. Ged was previously Development Director at Bovis Lend Lease for seven years where most recently he supervised the day to day management of the £200 million state of the art regional oncology centre at St James's Hospital in Leeds.

This series of new appointments and promotions brings the total in house team at K W Linfoot Plc up to 30 and doubled the strength of the management team in just two years. This growth falls in line with an incredible few years for the company which has celebrated the completion of two major landmark schemes in Leeds city centre - West Point and Bridgewater Place. It also announced the start on site for its most ambitious scheme to date, Lumiere that will deliver the tallest residential building in Western Europe and a truly iconic new mixed use destination for the North of England.

Further plans are in place for a revolutionary new key worker village in Leeds, a new scheme in London and the much anticipated scheme of four residential towers at the new BBC MediaCity:UK destination at Salford Quays, Manchester. The portfolio under management currently stands at around £900 million, a figure that will increase significantly with a series of new developments still under wraps.

Chairman, Kevin Linfoot, comments: "I am delighted to bolster the team with such high calibre people that are extremely well regarded across the industry. Our reputation for delivering high quality residential apartments is very much attributed to the knowledge and individual flair of our professional team. At KW Linfoot Plc we strive to deliver exceptional living environments and I believe that our new senior management team will provide a new dimension that will help us to achieve even greater success nationwide."
