Hutley Investments - Offices Development - Woking

Hutley Investments' proposals for Victoria Way, the largest office development Woking has seen for the last two decades, received planning approval from Woking Borough Council this week.

Edward Hutley, Director of Hutley Investments commenting on the approval: "We are truly excited by this scheme and delighted to have the support of both the local authority and the local business community. The scheme, designed by award winning HLM Architects, features over 17,390 sq m of prime, quality office space in the heart of the town. It will also incorporate over 900 sq m of restaurant and leisure facilities with an exclusive rooftop café/cocktail bar offering panoramic views across the town and towards the North Downs. A café/breakout area will also be included within the spacious reception at ground floor level.

The building has been designed as a sequence of vertical elements that increase in height to express the significance of the corner site, its social context in the town and the emerging local streets and spaces strategy.

And it's not just the design that offers a refreshing new product in Woking; the building has been carefully designed with tenant flexibility and sustainability at its core and will aim to be the first excellent BREEAM rated building in the region.

Edward Hutley says "The market in Woking is becoming increasingly frustrating for businesses and the lack of investment means the current office accommodation is not of sufficient quality to attract key national and international occupiers to the town. This has opened up some very encouraging discussions for potential pre-let's with some of the major occupiers in the town."
