Procare Construction - Leisure Development - Stevenage, Fairlands Valley Park

Procare Construction has been awarded a contract by Stevenage Borough Council to refurbish the town's sailing facility located at Fairlands Valley Park, in the heart of Stevenage. Work begins on the £475k contract this month and is likely to take around five months to complete. It includes a complete refurbishment of the changing area facilities in addition to decorating, electrics, heating and the fitting of new doors and windows.
"Fairlands Valley Park provides a fantastic resource to the people of Stevenage Borough and beyond, once completed the refurbishment will provide first class facilities for a broad range of water based activities and we hope will further contribute to rejuvenating the public amenities available to those in Stevenage and the surrounding areas," comments Jerry Ball, Director, Procare Construction.
This refurbishment is part of a larger to scheme to entirely revamp the 120 acre Fairlands Valley Park which along with the 11 acre sailing lake, used for a broad range of activities including dinghy sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and powerboat courses, is also home to a varied selection of wildlife.
