networkspace - Offices Development - Oakham Business Park

Date: 18 Feb 2008

The highly anticipated i2 development has received high praise from environmental building watchdog BREEAM and is set to open for business later in March.

The innovative scheme from networkspace at Oakham Business Park will provide 34,500 sq ft of office accommodation rated 'Very Good' by BREEAM, and 16,000 sq ft of workspace units rated 'Excellent' to suit the needs of a variety of business occupiers.

networkspace also expects i2 to be awarded 'Secured by Design' status. This is the flagship initiative of the UK Police to reduce crime through building-in security measures at the design stages of the scheme.

Helen Bazzant, senior property manager for networkspace, said: "The BREEAM and 'Secured by Design' status position i2 as a high quality, cutting edge development which will be delivered as Mansfield embarks on a growing regeneration programme.

"The neighbouring business incubator, the i-centre, has reached full capacity and a number of its flourishing occupants are now seeking room to grow meaning i2 is the natural next step."

Philip Quiggin, from Lambert Smith Hampton's Nottingham office, is the agent on the scheme. He added: "We have already received a high volume of enquiries from occupiers of the i-centre and small to medium size companies which have expressed interest in locating to the site. The offer of sustainable, secure, high-quality office space and workspace units is attracting a lot of attention."

networkspace is a joint venture between developers Langtree and the Government's national regeneration agency, English Partnerships to aid the regeneration of communities in the former English coalfields. Together, these partners have delivered over 700,000 sq ft of high quality space across England, specifically designed for small and medium size enterprises (SMEs).
