Date: 28 Feb 2008

Commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), has sold both ground floor units of the much anticipated commercial development, The Stock Building.

Built in 1936, the redeveloped former storage warehouse for OXO stock cubes is situated in one of Sheffield's key development areas, Nursery Riverside Quarter and will provide flexible office accommodation arranged over 5 floors ranging from 550 to 2,050 sq ft on a single floor.

Located on Joiner Street, The Stock Building is conveniently positioned on the ring road and linked by the inner relief road which is now open, The Stock Building offers flexible, high quality accommodation with Irwin Mitchell and the Home Office already committed to office space in the Nursery Riverside Quarter.

Matthew Barnsdale, Associate Director at LSH Sheffield said: "Increasingly occupiers come to us looking for attractive and practical premises. A development like The Stock Building will be a popular choice with its innovative renovation and accessible location."

The development retains a lot of its original industrial style features including exposed brickwork, polished concrete floors, Oak panelled passenger lift and a cafe unit on the Ground Floor.

Ann Watkinson, of developer Plan B said: "we are excited to be involved in the renovation of this unique landmark building. Conversions of this type and quality are hard to come by in Sheffield, particularly with such an original feel. Hopefully The Stock Building will form a key part in transforming Nursery Riverside into a vibrant business community."
