Contractor CF Construction is progressing with the extension to Centrum Pile's precast concrete pile manufacturing plant in Nottinghamshire. Commissioned by its parent Aarself Piling, the new factory extension is part of a major £6.7M expansion of Centrum and Aarsleff's operations at its Newark premises, which will also include a significant increase in the size of Aarsleff's office block.

The Centrum extension will house a new precast concrete pile casting hall, incorporating the very latest automated production techniques ensuring even higher quality and lower production costs. The new automated plant, which is expected to be in full production by autumn 2008, will boost Centrum's capacity by 80% to a maximum of 30,000 linear metres/week to fulfil future requirements.

Centrum Pile, formed in 2000 as a subsidiary to its specialist driven piling contracting parent Aarsleff Piling, now manufacturers approximately 45% of its piles for customers other than Aarsleff.
