Taylor Lindsey Limited - Offices Development - Lincoln, Nettleham Road
Date: 19 Mar 2008
Andrew & Co LLP, one of the best known firms of solicitors in Lincoln is planning to relocate this autumn from its current offices in St Swithin's Square and Beaumont Fee to a new, purpose built office at Roman Gate, Nettleham Road, Lincoln.
The law firm, which has been practising in Lincolnshire since 1832, will be moving into a new 14,000 sq ft. building with on-site car parking on a prominent site at the entrance to the development. The Roman Gate site is being developed by Lincoln-based Taylor Lindsey Limited.
Taylor Lindsey director, Robin Taylor said he was delighted that Andrew & Co had decided to relocate to Roman Gate. "This will be the first building there and it is a great way to get the development underway. Andrew & Co is a highly regarded firm and was keen to find a location and development that would provide a quality environment for its clients and staff. We are confident the building and Roman Gate will meet its current and future needs and we wish the firm continued success."
Andrew & Co LLP is very excited about the prospect of having all the Lincoln staff under one roof in a building tailored to both clients and its needs. Senior partner Chris Hunter said: "We sought the opinion of both clients and staff in specifying the build and are confident that it will meet all our locational and environmental needs, our preferred open working conditions and business growth potential. Moving from two Lincoln offices into one will enable us to have the commercial and private clients teams together for the first time. Such an environment will maximise communication and efficiency among teams and make the most of administrative resources.
"Around 60 members of staff will be moving across to the new-build but we have enough additional space to enable us to not only host client events and conduct training courses in-house but also make provision for further recruitment and acquisitions. We shall be investing in state of the art technology and incorporating as many green build elements as possible to enable us to achieve a lower environmental impact," said Mr Hunter.
Roman Gate, covering nine acres, is a mixed-use development and will include offices, shops, housing and leisure facilities. Taylor Lindsey says it anticipates the development, which is expected to create more than 200 jobs, will be completed within the next five years.
"We are very pleased to have secured the first occupier for this development and are confident that Andrew & Co will soon be joined by other professional firms and businesses. The development is ideally located, close to the by-pass and Lincoln city centre," said Daniel Race, a partner at Hodgson Elkington, chartered surveyors, which is marketing the Roman Gate development.
