Date: 03 Apr 2008

Procare Contract Services has won a £1.9 million Measured Term Contract (MTC) with the University of Reading under a small works projects framework to provide on-site staffing for minor building works solutions across the campus and its associated residential and agricultural buildings.

Procare is one of two framework contractors appointed for this four year contract which officially begins on 1 March 2008 and covers general minor building works and repairs as well as minor refurbishments and upgrade projects.

Procare Managing Director and Head of Contract Services, David Williams commented: "We see our selection as particularly significant as the University's School of Construction Management and Engineering is seen as a world leader of teaching and research in the construction field and was recently listed as one of the top universities* in the country to study building and surveying. This together with Procare's expanding reputation as a quality supplier of building maintenance services makes for an ideal partnership and we are delighted to have been appointed."

Procare's Contract Services Division manages all of the companies measured term contracts (MTC's) and framework agreements providing a host of prestigious clients with regular reactive maintenance and minor building works. An excellent way of controlling budgets, MTC's are ideal for clients with a regular volume of maintenance and building work who require rapid response on-site maintenance support services
