Evans Easyspace - Mixed-Use Development - Malksham, Wiltshire

Evans Easyspace's £2.8 million business centre development in Melksham, its first Wiltshire project, is one step closer to completion following a topping out ceremony yesterday (24 April 2008).
Leader of the Council, Councillor Jane Scott, officially carried out the ceremony which marks an important milestone in the construction of the Evans Business Centre.
The development will bring flexible, easy-in, easy-out business space to Melksham and it is expected that up to 33 businesses will be located in the new centre, providing around 170 jobs once fully occupied.
Cllr Scott said: "Today marks the beginning of an important facility for Melksham's small business sector. Evans Easyspace is a company with a clear commitment to creating a sustainable future through employment, improving the economy and enhancing the environment and I am confident this partnership will benefit local enterprise and contribute to its future success. I look forward to the unveiling of this Evans Business Centre in the summer."

The 19,000 sq ft Evans Business Centre on Semington Road, Hampton Park will provide a mix of 25 offices and 8 workshops designed to suit different types of small and medium-sized businesses. Bristol based Pearce Construction is carrying out the build and up to 25 people will be employed on the site each day. Completion of the Evans Business Centre is planned for August 2008 and future development is envisaged with the construction of a second phase in the future.
Ideally located for Melksham town centre and within good proximity of local road and motorways links, clients of the Evans Business Centre will benefit from easy-in, easy-out terms, telephony and broadband and no legal costs. The new centre will be designed to achieve a Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating of 'Very Good' for its environmental performance.
