A new industrial park is set to give a new lease of life to one of South Yorkshire's historic 19th century pit-sites.

Vector 31, situated close to junction 31 of the M1 motorway between Sheffield and Rotherham, has reached completion of its second phase, providing a total of 91,000 sq ft of high-specification industrial accommodation on reclaimed land which once housed the Waleswood Colliery.

Knight Frank, agents for Vector 31, report that the changing fortunes of the site have seen the 72,000 sq ft phase one of the development fully occupied through lettings or sales within 12 months and phase two now completed, offering six more units ranging from 10,166 to 20,190 sq ft.

Rebecca added: "The site is really close to the M1 and M18 motorway network, but also has a bus route running to the front of the site, making it easily accessible. We already have good levels of interest with two units under offer."

Units at phase one of Vector 31 have been taken by Century Plastics, The University of Sheffield and Arnold Magnetic Technologies Ltd. The accommodation is immediately available for occupation on a sale or to let basis.
