A performance enhancing solution from Web Dynamics means that builders will be able to deliver more loft space, quicker and cheaper, using the TLX range of multi-foils.
Web Dynamics, specialists in the development of insulation, moisture and air control solutions for energy efficient buildings, has improved the performance of its LABC approved and BBA certified range of TLX multi-foils. From now:
- TLX Silver, the across rafter solution needs only 60mm PIR to achieve a 0.2 U-value
- TLX RafterFit, the between rafter solution, achieves 0.2 with just 50mm of PIR.
Nick Searle, managing director of Web Dynamics said: "This is a major improvement we are announcing today in our multi-foil range and will save the installer valuable resources on each project which in present times is a key consideration".
The news comes hot on the heels of the recent LABC multi-foil guidance note which strongly recommended the use of only BBA approved multi-foils as part of an insulation system. This is an argument that Web Dynamics has advocated for almost two years and the direction supports the company's view about the importance of using multi-foils with a further layer of insulation.
"What is also important about our TLX range is that our products are tried and tested solutions with no risk attached to their use and our technical team are on hand to answer any queries," continued Nick.
"As energy efficiency becomes a major consideration in the next few years we believe it is our job to understand the science and deliver it in workable and efficient energy solutions."
TLX multi-foils are Part L approved and NHBC accepted. They are thin and thereby space saving and reflect more than 80 percent of radiant heat loss, controlling conduction, convection and stopping air leakage.
The TLX range has been tested in accordance with the requirements of BRE 443 - undergoing the guarded hot-box measurement to conform to BS EN ISO 8990.
