Date: 18 Jul 2008

Tritax Securities, in Partnership with Grantside, has appointed Fergus Trim as Development Director of Quorum Development Partners to oversee the development of the 1.2 million sq ft Quorum Business Park in Newcastle.

Fergus joins from Atisreal, where he has spent nine years, working his way up to head of South East Office Agency.

Tritax has now successfully raised £185 million to fund out the next phase of the Quorum Business Park which will comprise eight new office units adding a further 451,000 sq ft (41,898 sq m) of grade A space.

Fergus Trim comments: "After nine very happy years at Atisreal I am looking forward to an exciting new challenge at Quorum. With funding in place, we can bring forward the next phase of development creating a high quality environment to attract major corporate occupiers.

"With the right mix of development set within a superior setting, I expect Quorum to become the landmark business park in the North East."

Managing Partner at Quorum Development Partners, Steve Davis, said: "We are delighted that Fergus has chosen to join the Quorum team at this exciting time and are looking forward to him getting started and taking the scheme into the next phase."

Quorum has already completed over 446,000 sq ft (41,433 sq m) and boasts tenants such as HMRC, IBM, National Grid, OSG Shipping and a MWB Business Exchange centre.

As well as commercial office space, the scheme will include a hotel and leisure facility, a number of small retail units at the heart of the development and a nursery.

The site has a number of unique features for potential tenants; a central location close to Newcastle city centre, the Four Lane Ends transport interchange, good local amenities and access to a young and well trained recruitment pool.

The letting agents for Quorum are DTZ and Knight Frank.
