Chalcroft Construction - Appointment - UK

Date: 21 Jul 2008

Chalcroft Construction has appointed Michael McQuillan as a new health and safety advisor, working from the company's Pershore base.

Michael (37), from Stourbridge, holds the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certificate and will be using his experience to ensure high standards on Chalcroft sites.

Working under group health and safety manager Todd Hallam, Michael will be carrying out spot checks on company staff and sub-contractors and taking appropriate action where necessary.

Michael commented: "We take health and safety very seriously at Chalcroft and have stringent guidelines for anyone who is connected with our sites. We have a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance and we will ensure that our polices and procedures are adhered to.

"There are regular updates in terms of legislation covering such issues as working at height and hand arm vibration, and part of my role is to ensure that knowledge is transferred to all staff on Chalcroft sites."

Todd Hallam added: "It's great to have someone of Michael's calibre and experience on the team, helping Chalcroft to continue its record of reducing on-site incidents."

Using its ethos of teamwork and partnership, and utilising and managing local labour and sub-contractors where possible, Chalcroft Construction has developed an industry-leading reputation for providing its customers with tailor-made solutions.
