City and General - Retail - West London, Shepherds Bush

SBM Enterprises Limited has obtained planning consent to cover the New Shepherds Bush Market in west London at a cost of £0.5 million.

Permission to erect the glazed roof, which will cover the entire market follows the completion of a £1 million refurbishment scheme carried out by SBM Enterprises Limited.

The market covers approximately 0.4 ha (one acre) of retail space and is fully let to 85 tenants occupying a mixture of lock-up shops and traditional stalls, producing a rental of approximately £1m pa.

Two office buildings near the site, also belonging to SBM Enterprises Limited, totalling 325.15 sq m (3,500 sq ft) have recently been let to the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham at a rent equivalent to £107.6 per sq m (£10 per sq ft).
