Scottish & Newcastle is to launch Norwegian Blue, a stylish new bar concept, at Riverside, Gazeley Properties' and Railtrack's £75 million mixed use development in Norwich, on 30th October.
The 929 sq m (10,000 sq ft) Norwegian Blue unit is currently being fitted out in a style which reflects the best of Scandinavian design - space, air, light, wood and stone. And, across the back wall above the bar, there will be a spectacular mountain gully waterfall feature.
The drinks list will feature over 25 ice cold vodka's and variety of schnapps. The menu is full of dishes to share from satay sticks to Moroccan lamb bites together with a selection of mains from around the world - chicken rendang to grilled cold on mash.
One of Scottish & Newcastle's top brands - an Old Orleans theme restaurant is already trading from Riverside.
Commenting on launching Norwegian Blue at Riverside, Dave Harrison from Scottish & Newcastle said:
"We have taken this opportunity to invest in a regenerated area of a stylish thriving city, where, as a business where have historically had a good record of success. We are delighted to be opening the first Norwegian Blue in the City of Norwich."

Other leisure uses at Riverside include a 14-screen UCI multiplex cinema, a 26-lane Hollywood Bowl, a nightclub, a Brannigans restaurant, a health & fitness club and parking for 730 cars.
