Rogers Chapman - Offices Development - Crawley, Gatwick Road
Date: 26 Feb 2001
McKay Securities PLC has obtained planning consent for a speculative office scheme on Gatwick Road, Crawley, Surrey. Due to commence construction in the summer, the development will provide three self-contained buildings totalling 4,738 sq m (51,000 sq ft) net, and will set a new standard for occupiers looking for quality space within the M23 corridor.
In January this year McKay purchased the 1.05 ha (2.6 acre) site for £2 million from Peel Investments. Thomson Training and Simulation formerly occupied the industrial buildings on the site, and the redevelopment will continue the trend towards quality offices in this strategic location, on the borders of Gatwick Airport.
Rogers Chapman advised McKay Securities PLC, whilst the sole agent for Peel Investments was Maxwell Brown.
Both Rogers Chapman and Maxwell Brown have been retained by McKay to advise on the proposed office development.
