tropus - Retail Development - Leicester, Blaby, Fosse Shopping Park

tropus, a market leading project management company, has completed the construction of a new £5 million foodcourt at the 37,160 sq m (400,000 sq ft) Fosse Shopping Park, Blaby near Leicester, on behalf of Pillar Property Plc and the Retail Park Unit Trust.

The extensive works involved the demolition of the old Mothercare store and the creation of two new 929 sq m (10,000 sq ft) retail units, new amenity and Centre Management facilities and a 2,090 sq m (22,500 sq ft) foodcourt, which is spreads over two levels and rovides a wide range of food offers together with retail kiosks.

Commenting on the project, Barry Jenkins of tropus said:

"This has been a very intensive project that began on site in February 2000 and required very close coordination between all the team members. This has resulted in, what we consider to be, a very exciting and high quality environment, completed to time and budget. This will, undoubtedly be a major asset at Fosse Park, both for the customers and the landlord."

tropus have now been involved as project managers on Fosse Park since 1997, having been employed initially by SPP Investment Management, the previous owners of the scheme and now by Pillar Property Plc.
