Roger Chapman - Offices Development - Middlesex, Staines, Windmill Coachworks
Date: 25 Oct 2001
Madison Land has acquired a 0.45 ha. (1.12 acre) site, the former Windmill Coachworks, on the main A30 trunk road close to the Crooked Billet roundabout at Staines Middlesex and has begun the speculative development of a three storey, air-conditioned office building totalling approximately 3,530 sq m (38,000 sq ft), gross. Upon completion the development is likely to have a value in the region of £14 million.
Gary Lees, managing director of Madison Land commented, "We are pleased that we were able to increase the size of the original scheme by over a third, having recently been granted planning permission to add an extra floor to the existing consent. I believe that the planners' decision will enable us to provide top quality offices at a time [end 2002] when a shortage may be likely in the area."
The development will benefit from 100 on site car parking spaces.
Rogers Chapman has been retained as sole letting agent.
