Laing Property - Mixed-Use Development - Bristol, Trade City
Date: 19 Mar 2002
Trade City, a division of Laing Property, has won detailed planning consent for Trade City Bristol, a 4,830 sq metres (52,000 sq ft) scheme which forms part of the growing network of Trade City schemes across the country. Trade City Exeter and Didcot are underway - and a further 8 are planned in the south of England over the next two years.
South Gloucestershire District Council granted planning permission, for the development at Cribbs Causeway one and a half miles from Junction 17 of the M5 and Trade City has already had strong interest in the scheme which provides units from 1,440 sq metres to 4,830 sq metres (15,500 sq ft to 52,000 sq ft) or can be occupied as one.
Trade City has customer focus at its core and is targeted at businesses with a high level of customer and supplier interface. Trade City developments are highly visible and accessible and the buildings can be easily tailored to the individual needs of the occupier. All units are available on a freehold or leasehold basis.
Nigel Turner, Trade City director says, “This scheme is appealing to companies where customer-contact and access to the motorway network is important. The flexibility is built into the design of the units and the specification options available means the units can be adapted to meet any company’s business needs.”
“The adaptability of the units can be seen at Trade City Exeter, which has proved extremely popular and is already 75 percent occupied with a mixture of local, regional and national companies,” he adds.
The benefits of the Trade City package was recognised by the South West Industrial Agents’ Society who voted Trade City Exeter as Development of the Year 2001.
Letting agents for Trade City Bristol are NAI Gooch Webster and Chesterton.
