BDP - Mixed-Use Development - Walthamstow Town Square and Gardens

Proposals for Walthamstow's new Town Square and Gardens have now been submitted to the London Borough of Waltham Forest for planning approval.

Following the recent international design competition, the Council and the New Opportunities for Walthamstow (NOW) Partnership Board, in association with BDP, are working closely with the local community to create a lively new space at the heart of the town. In addition to refreshing the existing Town Square, the design will create a public space that encourages activity at all times of the year. The park will also have a direct connection to a new bus station, proposals for which have also been submitted for planning approval.

Construction work on both of these projects is planned to commence in January 2003.
