Spacia - Mixed-Use Development - Leeds, Sovereign Place

Date: 15 Oct 2002

Spacia - the UK’s largest provider of workspace for small and medium sized businesses - today announced the completion of four arch units at Sovereign Place in the heart of Leeds. The newly re-furbished property comprises one spacious retail unit (580 sq ft) and three high quality, comfort cooled office units (ranging in size from 2,346 sq ft to 2,529 sq ft) close to Leeds station and the city centre.

Following almost £1 million of investment by Spacia to refurbish the arch space, the central location and quality of the accommodation has already proved popular with local businesses. A sandwich bar will operate from the retail unit at Sovereign Place and one of the office units is currently under offer.

In addition to Sovereign Place, Spacia is currently assessing a range of potential sites for redevelopment across Leeds and the surrounding area. Four light industrial units were also recently completed in Holbeck near the city.

Adrian Schofield, National Investment Manager, Spacia commented: “The completion of Sovereign Place is just one part of the wider regeneration programme which Spacia is undertaking across the country. With over 250,000 small businesses operating in Yorkshire and the Humber, there is a particular opportunity to develop quality new business space across Leeds which will meet the needs of local companies.”
