What it involves
If we host your website, it means that:
- your site will be on our fast, professionally managed servers
- the main server is located in a secure data centre in London's Docklands
- there is a multi-tiered back-up and recovery service
- a copy of your site will be on our password-protected server, where you can see any changes that you want to make before they go 'live' on the internet
- we can allow your own website developers to make changes to your website
- you will have access to a friendly helpline during office hours.
Why it works
With our hosting service your web pages will download quickly, which means that you will hold your visitors' attention for longer and they will explore more of your site. It is also important that your website is always available because any 'down time' (when visitors cannot access your website) reflects badly on your company.
How much it costs
We charge £350 a year for up to 50 megabytes of space and a bandwidth of up to five gigabytes (5,000 megabytes) of data transfer each month. This is plenty of space for nearly every corporate website but we will be pleased to give you a price estimate for websites that need more than these very high limits.
We can probably host your existing website. We would first need to import it and install it on our servers. Our normal charge for importing and installing a small or medium-sized website is £450 but we need to have a look at your website before giving you a firm price.
